All of a sudden the display on my wife’s went dark. Restarted the phone and it’s still dark
Any suggestions?
Thanks

If the iPhone can be unlocked with Touch ID it can connect with iTunes and a backup can be made. If the Genius Bar at an Apple Store can diagnose the problem a repair may be possible or, if not, a replacement iPhone can be set up from the latest iTunes backup.

You have fine little cables to the screen these don’t even have to be touched sometimes to get damaged and can cause a lack of contrast or a grey display especially the iPhone 6 being famous for touch disease which is also a grey display

Touch disease develops over the course of several weeks to months and results in the screen no longer reacting to touch. The entire screen does not turn grey but there can be a flickering grey band at the top of the screen. The cause has nothing to do with any cables but is the result of the Touch IC chip connections to the motherboard failing due to flexing of the motherboard over time.
