deleting old repeating calendar entries

If you go to the event you want to stop repeating and tap Edit, you will see an option to Repeat - Never. Just select this.

it appears to stop the repeats but leaves the. entry for the 1st day

Go into Settings and check to see how you have the calendar app set up-it is there where you set how long to save your entries and when they should be deleted.

Why don’t you tap Edit then DELETE at the bottom of the event.
