Cydia crashed and deleted default apps!!

hey guys, got a quick question!

i jail broke my 3gs with evasi0n tools and when i went to open cydia for the first time, i pressed the home button on accident while cydia was doing someting with the file system. long story short, iphone froze, i lost all default apps, STUPIDLY tried restoring iphone in itunes and now the iphone is stuck in recovery mode and itunes wont restore it due to error. ive tried kicking it out with tiny umbrella, was wondering if anybody had any ideas? the only reason im even worried about this old piece is that its my only phone right now :/

yeah, forgot to mention the dang thing wont go into dfu mode... -___-

Leave the device in Recovery Mode, then create a DFU IPSW for use with iTunes.

I think you are in a recovery mode loop, caused by the restore error. Do a Recovery Fix, through redsn0w or tinyumbrella.

After that, enter DFU mode & like @willerz2 said restore the firmware in DFU mode.

i tried tiny umbrella but not redsn0w, im just having a hard time getting those default files that cydia corrupted back onto the iphone, i can get the phone into the restore mode, but not dfu. ill try redsn0w tonight and see what magics happen..
