The June comScore monthly report is now out and about to reveal the trends in the mobile industry. As expected, Apple maintains dominion of the U.S. smartphone market with 39.9% of market share. The iPhone maker experienced an increase compared to last quarter, when it managed to score 39%.

Of course the runner up is Samsung, which has also gained some ground, when contrasted with last quarter. The Korean giant snatched 23.7% up from 21.7% last quarter. It should be noted that Samsung seems to be increasing its market share faster than Apple.

Also making it to the top five in the comScore top, we find HTC, Motorola and LG. There is no trace of RIM. Apparently, the American public has had enough of BlackBerry and now the company has to reorient towards the markets in South Africa, Nigeria, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Middle East.

Now moving on to the platform sector, Android has been found to be top operating system in the United States with 52.0%. However, the numbers seems to be stagnating, as we don’t see any difference from the percent posted in the previous quarter. Apple has gained the second position this time with 39.9% experiencing an increase of 0.9%. Slowly but steadily we’re pretty sure we’re going to see the Android supremacy being challenged by the iOS. At least in the US where the iDevices are all so popular.

Completing the top five we find BlackBerry, Microsoft and Symbian. Only Microsoft managed to experience a “micro” increase, going up with 0.1% from previous quarters. The other two platforms shaved 0.8% and 0.2% respectively.
