I finally took the plunge this weekend. I've been a Mac guy for years and "lusted" after the iPhone, but there was no way I was going to go to AT&T.

A year ago, I gave up waiting for Verizon to get the iPhone and got a Droid (Mot's Droid X).

I really liked it at first, but, over time, issues developed and the constant "maintenance" (settings, updates, performance tweaks, etc.) got old.

At the end of June, I got myself an iPad2. It was then that I realized it was time to quit messing around with the Droid and get myself an iPhone. So, last weekend, I walked into Verizon and got my iPhone.

My only regret is not doing this the day Verizon got the iPhone!

Hey cool.... I used a Droid X for a while and it was OK at best. Nice screen, but low batttery life and quirky behavior. A few days ago I went to a Verizon Store (with my iPhone in pocket) and took another look at the Droid X, just for yucks. Same old things...quirks....etc., but I did like the screen again!
