The batch of rumors announcing the low cost iPhone just got a new addition, which further completes the picture. Some leaked pictures showcasing a plastic iPhone have surfaced on the Chinese social network Weibo. It’s safe to assume that this is indeed the elusive cheaper iPhone we have been hearing about in the last few months.

Current theories about the cheaper device aimed especially at developing markets suggest that Apple wants to launch the smartphone alongside its flagship iPhone 5S. The images which just emerged online finally put some sort of name on the budget iPhone – the device might be called the iPhone 5C. The biggest surprise, however, is the purported camera that the iPhone 5C will sport – an 8 mega pixel one. This might come as surprise for many, as a 5-mega pixel frontal camera was the envisioned scenario. So with such a powerful camera, will there still be a cheaper iPhone?

Price wise - it probably will. The iPhone 5C‘s price is expected to gravitate around $350. That means that the device will still be cheaper than a new iPhone 4. The device can be purchased for a big enough price still - $450 unlocked and contract free. Bearing in mind that the iPhone 5C will probably ship with iOS 7, a lot of customers will probably feel its attraction. But will they be able to renounce the shiny aluminum look of the high end iPhone and be content with the plastic one? Hopefully we will find out the answers to this come September.
