If you are a Science Fiction fan, then you are surely familiar with the smart watch concept . Casio wants to bring Science Fiction to life and has just announced a stupendous wrist watch that features Bluetooth functionalities allowing owners of the iPhone 5 and 4S to sync their devices with it.

The Casio firm is already famous for its brand of digital watches, but its latest invention tops it all. The smart watch is called G-Shock of the 6B6900AA series. The watch will connect to users’ smartphones and will send out alerts relating to time syncing, calls and email. It’s also very important to know that the watch’s energy consumption is extremely low, even if the battery is puzzlingly small. The technology behind this performance is called Bluetooth Low Energy tech and allows users to employ the battery’s service for about two years provided that the Bluetooth connection is used at least twelve hours a day.

The G-Shock also comes packed with a LED super illuminator, a 1/100th second stopwatch, countdown timer, different time zones features. Users can also choose between the five different alarms systems. The watch can last safely in the hands of the clumsiest owners as it is shock and water resistant.

To get the smart watch to work in sync users must have installed on their devices iOS 5.1.1 or iOS 6. The G-Shock+ application that is needed to operate the connection between the two devices can be downloaded for free from the App Store. The watch itself is available for the price at $180.
