Can’t sync my iPad Air w email

I’m having issues w syncing my iPad Air w my current emails. Help anyone?

Are your email accounts POP or IMAP accounts?

I believe they are Imap

Do you use the built in Mail app, or a different one? Which kind of account/s do you use? Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, …? Do you get a popup, or is it just not working?
Please provide more information.
