Can I switch from a pc to a mac for syncing my iphone without losing all my data?

I have an iPhone 3G that I have been syncing to my desktop pc. Now I am getting the iPhone 4S and I want to start syncing to my macbook pro. Is there a way to do that without losing all of my data?
