Camera connection kit, USB drive and iFile compatible with iPhone?

As above, will the camera connection kit plus a USB drive work with iFile on a 4S?

Unfortunately, no. The camera connection kit only works with the iPad. I've tried it and all it does is tell you that it won't work.
