bottom portion of touch screen not working

Hey whats up,

Yesterday the bottom portion of my phone stopped working. I can't open any of the apps on the dock (phone, mail, safari, or ipod). Strangely enough though the slide bar still works. Will I am on the phone with someone i can't hang up or use text when the letters far on the bottom portion. I have restored the phone but it made it worse actually. Not sure what to do from here. any suggestions would be appreciated

Seems like a hardware issue. If restoring didn't fix it then I would call the genius bar
