Slash Gear writes today that Best Buy has started selling the basic iPhone 5 for $150, with $50 off the full price, provided you sign up for a new two-year contract with either Verizon or AT&T. Slash Gear says that the AT&T versions are only available in-store, and not as an online purchase, which presumably means that the Verizon handsets are available both online and in Best Buy retail stores. The discount applies to the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models, which, with the discount will be available for $149.99, $249.99, and $349.99 respectively. As Slash Gear points out, this is the same price as AT&T has been charging for refurbished 64GB iPhone 5s. It is not known how long Best Buys special promotion will last, but you can be sure that once people find out about it, stocks could be in short supply. In general, Apples supply chain seems to have caught up with the production issues that dogged the first few weeks of the iPhone 5s life.
