Assistive Touch is a new feature with iOS 5 Beta 3 for people who might have trouble doing multitouch gestures. This is an accessibility setting that has many uses, from disabilities to mounting your iPad permanently to your wall. There are options that let you press the home button by tapping on the screen and basically an onscreen substitute for all of the device's buttons. You can also do multiple finger swipes with one finger instead of the usual, just tap the amount of fingers needed and swipe! There are options to create your own swipes and gestures which is awesome and a great thing that we see Apple adding to many features. Assistive Touch is currently only available to Developers, everyone else has to wait until the final build is released in the "Fall".
