My apps went dark when I tried to customize and make my apps pink. Well the ones in my folders. Is that normal?

No. Here’s a screenshot of mine, showing the options.
No. They are clear. I tried the tinting to see if they went dark. They didn’t.

Ugh! Idk if it makes a difference that I have a 16?
I don't know. On my 13, I could change the colours and had achieved something close to what Liquid Glass allows, so when I received the 17, I just set up the clear icons and called it good. I've actually forgotten the process for customizing the Home Screen earlier than iOS26.
That's the trouble with setting up new phones from backups of old ones. I'm sure there are settings that I tweaked on my iPhone 4 that I still use on my 17 without remembering that I ever tweaked them.
