Apps store updated apps list

I had to do an update to an app from the app store, I did it, and the app is still sitting in the update list. Why is it still there? I already updated it. shouldn't it disappear after you do the update?

Not in iOS 7. Updated apps stay on the list for 2 weeks before self deleting. For members who have their iPhones set for automatic app updates, this is the only way for them to know what's been recently updated.
