When Apple unveiled the Apple Watch last year, we learned an abundance of things we didn't know about the wearable. Rumors have claimed that the device will finally see a release date sometime in March, although there is still no official word from Apple. We still don't know the prices of the stainless-steel model nor the 24-karat gold Apple Watch Edition.

Though we expect an official release date is immanent, one other thing we don't know about is the battery life on the device. A former report claimed that the company was not happy with the battery life on the device and hoped to tweak it before the launch date.

9to5Mac reports on Thursday that sources have told the blog the battery on the Apple Watch isn't so great. The "sources with knowledge" said Apple is shooting for 2.5 hours of "heavy" use, 3.5 hours of standard use, and 4 hours of fitness tracking.

The Apple Watch uses the new S1 chip inside, causing the battery life to drain faster, with its A5-like performance. As mentioned before, the Apple Watch is rumored to be released in March, with a starting price of $349.
