After doing my unboxing and the epic story behind the HDMI cable that I had to find and buy at 2 AM, I finally got to sit down with the Apple TV. I hooked it up to my 47 inch Vizio 1080p capable TV and, as noted, it only outputs 720p. No surprise there but I was hoping for some magic. The Apple TV still looks great on my LCD. I would love for it to be as awesome as being able to replace my cable box, well, with netflix and other things I basically can. The pricing on the shows and movies are not for me, I much rather record my shows on my DVR.
Being a fan of the Netflix Watch Instantly feature, this will be a pretty decent addition to my living room, or possibly my desk. Nifty little bugger for $99, full review coming soon.
