With their innovative products and dedication to customer satisfaction, Apple managed to climb on top and build a pretty solid fan base. To show this, Cupertino recently shared how many visitors Apple stores from around the globe had in the current year.
According to the Apple statement, the 300 stores across 13 countries welcomed and served 300 million Apple enthusiasts in the fiscal year of 2012. Just so that people have a better understanding of what those numbers really mean, Apple added that by July 2011 the population of the United States was estimated to be somewhere around 311 million people.
Cupertino decided to share the numbers after it opened a couple of stores in Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Coquitlam, British Columbia. Taking into account the customer flux provided by the two newcomers as well, there would be 800,000 customers on average per store over the above mentioned period.
The report mentions that on average, 50,000 people get help and service at the Genius Bar across the globe in a single day, making the Apple store one of the busiest retail venues.
This information comes after rumors have been spreading online of Apple cutting off staff hours and laying off employees, but as it turned out, Apple was just trying out a new employee formula, and the reports were a bit misleading.
Apples Kristin Huguet commented:
Making these changes was a mistake and the changes are being reversed. Our employees are our most important asset and the ones who provide the world-class service our customers deserve.
