According to a story initially run by 9to5Mac, Apple is going to dress up its retail stores’ windows with a spectacular LED display, as described by the Apple employees. Carrying a simplistic design, the LEDs utilized resemble falling snowflakes.

The LED displays highlight the iPhone 5c and the iPad Air stating the following: “May you holidays be bright” and “May your holidays be light” respectively. The inclusion of the “light” word is obviously a clever hint to the light weight of the iPad Air. 9to5Mac further details:

The displays will begin going up in many countries across the world later this week, and they will remain up until early January. News of the new front window display was shared at Apple’s quarterly meetings this past weekend.

A 9to5Mac reader has confirmed that the new display is already up at the Fashion Show mall in Las Vegas:

They currently have this up in the Fashion Show mall in Las Vegas which reopened Saturday. Mesmerized my son for 15 minutes.

What do you think of the new design of Apple’s Store windows?

Thats lovely, simple but effective.

Was expecting the Apple staff to cement glue iPads and iPhones to the walls and displays then have them light up in a particular fashion..... But this works too :p To be honest, they don't really have to overdo the decorations. The Apple Store has always been simplistic, and should stay so.

Saw it today. AWESOME. Simple and streamlined. Perfect way for Apple to decorate.
