Apple Pay is slowly making its way into the market as a great way to leave the old plastic credit card at home. Although we still need our physical cards at most stores we go to, we expect most store to integrate the option in the upcoming years.

At a press event in Seattle, Staples VP of mobile commerce announced that Apple Pay was the number one payment choice for mobile app customers. FierceWireless relays Vemana stating that 30 percent of purchases made through the Staples mobile app are with Apple Pay.

Last year Staples announced it would be a partner with Apple Pay even before the service was available to customers. Vemana went on to say that Apple Pay wasn't as popular as services like PayPal and Google Wallet in its retail stores, however 65 percent of customer using Apple Pay were first-time Staples shoppers.
