Apple Disables In-Store Pickup For iPhone 5S

Though it comes to no surprise, the iPhone 5S and the 5C are two tough cookies to find, unless you waited in line on launch day. Shipping dates have also been pushed back to October on the online Apple Store. Yesterday, the fruit company gave customers the option of selecting "In-Store Pickup" as an option when ordering online for both the 5S and 5C. Now it seems Apple has disabled in-store pickup for the iPhone 5S only.

The reason for this is unknown, though some Apple Stores still have the Space Grey option in-stock, leaving the Silver and Gold options difficult to find in high-demand. Folks wanting in-store pickup for the iPhone 5C can still do so, but those looking for a 5S will have to either wait until October for shipping, or make daily visits to the local Apple Store.
