If you are already getting ready to gear up for the next school year, keep in mind that Apple has officially launched its yearly Back to School promotion. Parents or students purchasing Apple technology will be awarded some sweet iTunes Store gift cards.

Very important this year is the fact that the iPhone has been included in the promotion. So school goers buying a Mac will receive a $100 gift card, while those acquiring an iPhone or iPad will get a $50 one. The program will launch for the United States, United Kingdom and other countries in Europe.

“The promotion will give eligible students an iTunes/App Store gift card with the purchase of a Mac, iPad, and for the first time, an iPhone. The gift cards that come with Mac purchases will be worth 100$ while the cards accompanying the iOS Devices will be worth $50.”

To get your hands on the discounted goodies Apple is offering one has to prove he/she is enrolled at a college/university, accepted into college/university, a parent of a student going to college/university or a faculty professor/staff member. Apparently, high school students are not included in the program, but it’s great that education professionals are being awarded discounts.

The Back to School program pops up on and off according to school schedules in various countries. In the US, the promotion will be available until the 6th of September.

The exact locations of where students and parents can take advantage of the Back to School program have been posted online. To get a discount, shoppers will have to go to their nearest Apple Retail Stores or the Apple Online Store if they want to acquire a cheaper iPhone. Authorized Apple Campus Stores can offer the discounts for Macs and iPads. And apparently, the promotion extends to other educational materials.
