Check out this really cool augmented reality Appgun courtesy of Electricpig that was shown at the London Toy Fair last week! The zapper comes from Apptoyz, and uses your iPhones camera as the brains of an alien zapper. You simply insert your iPhone into the housing on the top of the gun, and then download the free Appgun gaming app to start playing. According to Electricpig, the app works in conjunction with your iPhone camera to register your iPhones movements as you point the gun at the aliens and blast them. The gun has left and right triggers, with the left firing regular bullets and the right launching stun bombs.
The gun will hit the shops in April, for a price of £20, and the Apptoyz spokesperson told Electricpig that the gun will be available anywhere, but presumably they mean anywhere in the UK, not worldwide. No word as yet on which other countries the Appgun will be available in.
