Angry Birds Seasons Free on iOS for One Week

Cnet brings the good news today that what many consider to be the best version of Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, is now free on the App Store for the next week, both the iPhone and HD iPad versions. This marks a saving of $0.99 for the iPhone version, and $1.99 for the iPad version. Cnet says that the giveaway is due to Apple making the game its Free App of the Week on iTunes. The week started yesterday, Thursday, as far as the App Store is concerned, so you’ve got until next Wednesday to download the game if you don’t already have it. What is so great about Angry Birds Seasons is the ingenuity that goes into coming up with new updates. With all the regular seasons such as Christmas and Easter already being featured in the 2011 (and they’re all included here, as are all the updates), this year we’ve had much more inventive special occasions, as well as all the usual ones, such as Cherry Blossom season from Japan, Year of the Dragon from China, and the latest update, Piglantis, which features all new underwater physics. A genuine bargain, even when it’s not free!
