Activator - turn screen off?

I'm looking for a way to manually turn off the screen without pressing the power button. iPods have taken abuse by repeated pressing off the power or home buttons and I would like to use a gesture to do this when I want the screen off (in bed, watching a movie).

I don't see an option within Activator to do this. I found "Always on Proximity", but I think that if I hooked that into Activator, say, double tap right side of status bar, it would turn the screen off, but it would turn back on again.

Thoughts or suggestions?

I use it to put my iPhone 4 to sleep. I swipe to the left on my status bar and that puts it to sleep. It is set up in activator as sleep button.
