4s questions

I just bought an iphone 4s should get it in a couple of days and have a couple of questions. first dose it work on 4g or just 3g.
now I have a samsung captivate on go phone and the sim card is a mini I need a micro for the 4s, will att send me a micro sim if I ask for it and keep the same number? I know I can cut the mini sim to micro but would still like to get a new sim.

Welcome to iPhoneForums.

The 4S operates on 3G or HSPA 4G depending on carrier. It's a world phone so it works based on your carrier.

AT&T should send you a new SIM free, or you can head to a local AT&T store to get one free.

AT&T has 4G HSPA, so you'll be able to get both 3G and 4G on your device
