Hi, I just bought a 4S and want to "clone" my 4 to the 4S. The Verizon rep told me to do it over iTunes on my PC - well I never installed iTunes for my 4 and everything works just fine. So I installed iTunes backed up the 4 tried to restore onto the 4S, and things started to get messy. I also registered boith 4 & 4S to sync via iCloud. etc etc. now its in a mess. Both ended up with the same name (?) "Dean's iPhone", at least iCloud seems to treat them as two. The 4 says incomplete backup. The 4S is a partial clone of the 4.
What Transferred:
Phone Favorites
Phone Recents
Pictures
What didn't transfer:
Phone Contacts (huge list), but the Names are there in Recents!!!
Apps (4 pages worth)
Also both 4 & 4S Settings>General>iTunes WiFi-Sync say "Sync will resume when the HPi7 is available. That is my PC name - I wish I never installed iTunes maybe iCloud would have worked fine.
Can I remove all traces of syncing via the PC, and just do a clean iCloud sync?
