Rumoured 6.5-Inch iPhone X Plus to Have Dual SIM and Gold Colour Option

I'm glad to hear that Apple wants a size for everybody, as I know several people who want to upgrade their iPhone SE phones with new phones that are the same size as their old phones.

iPhone sees old and new Mac

I powered it down and then back up again this morning. The ghost computer is still there. I don't know if it is seen by anything else or not (and is turned off here).

iPhone sees old and new Mac

I found that, thanks, and did it. Right now the setting is still on her phone. I'll check again tomorrow to see if the 2nd mac disappears there.

iPhone sees old and new Mac

My wife got a new iMac and migrated everything over. After installing, it she texted fine from her Mac to iPhones - but it took a couple of days to try sending to an Android phone. I found the trouble - going into her iPhone 7+ IOS 11.0.3, to settings, messages, Text Message Forwarding...

Handing my old phone down to a family member.

I just noticed: The e-mail I got telling me about this post is longer. It continues with: The folks at Verizon told me that we needed to dial *228 in order to tell them to switch his phone number from his old (dumb) phone to the 3G iPhone.

Handing my old phone down to a family member.

I'd rather not wipe up his phone - just the security parts. Why do you suggest setting up my 6s up as new? If I did that, would I need to re-input all of my Wi-Fi passwords?

Handing my old phone down to a family member.

I have a family plan with Verizon. I'm getting a new phone for Christmas, and will give my old iPhone 4s to my son. I wish to keep as much as I can on my old phone as I can safely can for my son to use. Verizon already is set up with what it needs except for setting up the phone numbers...

    Contacts smart groups

I wonder why not. They are useful. Not as useful as the ability share a single group with other people - for instance a work group or club roster, but useful nevertheless.

    Contacts smart groups

Why don't I see my Mac Contacts smart groups on my phone?

    Telling iCloud accounts apart

I wanted to send myself a reminder, so I opened "reminder" on my iPhone, and saw four lists: Family - "Shared with howardbrazee..." Family - "iCloud" Family - "Shared with HowardBraz..." Reminders I don't know which to add my reminder to (I want to remember to ask my mother something when I...

Is the Apple watch a good solution for "can't get up" old folk?

The ad "I've fallen and I can't get up" devices can also call for help when someone falls down - without having to call. But it doesn't help if someone just can't get out of the bath tub. Do people wear Apple Watches in tubs and showers? Is it a good way for someone to get help? Does...

Getting iPhone texts to my Mac

When I open Messages on my Mac, then go to preferences/accounts, I can be reached for messages at 3 e-mails. Those three are the same e-mail with @icloud.com, @me.com, & @mac.com. I tried to add my "real" e-mail address, which is also the e-mail address that iTunes knows. It's one using...

Getting iPhone texts to my Mac

I tried logging out of my iCloud in my systems preferences, and after going from app to app saying whether to keep or delete data on my Mac, it finally told me it couldn't log me off. So I checked all of the individual stuff on, and had to go to my phone and enter my password there to get them...

Getting iPhone texts to my Mac

I have my iPhone & Mac on the same Apple ID (my iPad is using my wife's, bigger iCloud, but I wanted Find My Friends to work). OSX 10.10.3, IOS 8.3. I had both addresses visible, but only the phone number was checked. Oops, that is the e-mail address I use - I'll add my iCloud address...

Getting iPhone texts to my Mac

I have a friend who texts me from his iPhone. I'm sitting at my Mac, with its Messages app opened, and later on notice the message on my iPhone. Then I reply from my Mac, which allows me to use a real keyboard. I guess he probably sends it to my phone number, as we have had conversations...

Source for "Whose Phone Is This?".

After a delay, Siri finally thinks the phone belongs to me. My problem is that I don't seem to be able to share contacts.

Source for "Whose Phone Is This?".

Interesting. I couldn't create an iCloud e-mail, apparently my full name is already taken (probably by me somehow). If I keep this, I will need to find someone from Apple to check that. Now, Find Your Friends works, but I need to re-invite my friends. That is a pain, as apparently I...

Source for "Whose Phone Is This?".

I'm trying that now. I signed off, and then signed on with the account we use to buy our iTunes. For a long time that account name was just my name, but a few months ago, I had a hard time changing it to the new e-mail address standard which is needed for some functions. When I signed on...

Source for "Whose Phone Is This?".

Hmmm, when I go there on my phone, I see that my name is "iPhone (Howard Brazee's), which is the name which I set on iTunes. But Siri thinks it's Pat.
