I don't think you can zoom the camera. It has a fixed 35 mm lens on the 4s!

Yes it's a little box that plugs into your tv ;-)
It is airplay which allows you to view the contents of your phone on your tv. You do need to buy apple tv for it to work though that costs around £90.
