This will probably help but I've never used Spotlight. Her phone has all the items checked under Settings>General>Spotlight Search. I can't put anything in the search bar at top of spotlight page. Sorry to be so stupid. I'm better with pc's lol.

New iphone 6 used for a month with no problem. Not jailbroken. Wife downloaded XFinity Remote App from App Store. It installed (it said) normally, but no icon appeared on the screen anywhere. Opened App Store again - "OPEN" box was still there and app would open, but still no icon. Rebooted...
