basically i need to re jailbreak my phone i got a dpkg error and accidently deleted the updates folder of cydia and now cydia wont download anything. it 3GS 8GB. it running on 4.1 firmware when i tried to download firmware and open it it just went into I tunes and nothing happened or opened...

if it is jailbroke can you recommend good place to get apps

Just got my first IPHONE it an IPHONE 3G S it really is a savage phone. could somebody tell me if i jailbreak will i lose my unlocked status as i just paid 25 to open the phone and they told me not to upgrade firmware or it will return to original carrier.
