Yahoo's Weather iOS app has received so far great ratings from its users, mainly thanks to the superb, minimalist design that it features. Now the company has announced an update to its Weather app that brings more high-quality animations for weather conditions that were first launched earlier this year.

Besides this, the newest version also adds a revamped design that is more compatible with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The company said the following on its official blog:

Watch gently falling snowflakes or sky-splitting lightning flash across your screen as Yahoo Weather breathes life into your daily forecast. With our latest update, you’ll see weather conditions—fog, rain, heat, snow, lightning, and frost—animated through leveraging bleeding-edge graphics technology typically only seen in video games. We’re excited to take your weather experience to the next level, as we make it even more delightful.

In September, we brought a few of these animated effects to iOS8, and today we’re adding frost and lightning to the mix. So, instead of just reading about the icy cold, you’ll actually see the frost creep onto your screen.

So, if you are looking to install a great look and really useful weather app, go ahead and follow the link from below.

It looks great. The background photos are automatically selected based on the users location. Here's my local forecast.

Free too.
Do you find it accurate sci?

Hard to accurately forecast SOME snow -- especially if it's light/spotty in nature, for example, the back side of a warm front trailing through an area with dropping temperatures....some precipitation that shows on radar may NOT be reaching the ground (virga), but forecasters "parrot" the radar indication (guess they don't trust their own eyes, sometimes....!!!;))
