We have heard about the wifi Krack vulnerability.

We use an ARRIS Surfboard modem and one or more Eero routers with Xfinity wifi.

How can we protect ourselves?

These vulnerabilities are already patched in the latest beta updates. An update will be released to the public soon.

Until then, use a VPN network.

Several people have pointed out that VPNs don’t tell users how they use users’ data...

As you prefer not using VPN:

Some network equipment manufacturers have already pushed updates to fix this. Maybe there’s already a firmware update for your modem/router.

If your iDevices are running iOS 11 and later, the possibility to execute an attack is extremely unlikely, so you should be fine.

Good to hear. Thanks. And we are using a VPN—it’s just disturbing that we can’t find out how they use people’s data.
