So I've recently replaced my iPhone 6 screen, and since then my touch id has not been working. I go into the password/touch id settings and it shows that I have no fingers registered, and when i try to register my finger, a "Failed, Unable to complete Touch ID setup. Please go back and try again" error pops up. This is happened in the past when I've replaced my screen, but now I'm not going to ignore it. I have already reset my phone to factory default and it still didn't work

Touch ID will not work after a screen replacement by an owner or an unauthorized third party repair shop. This also means that Apple Pay will no longer work.

I’ve changed many screens on iPhone 6 to 7 and it doesn’t effect the home button, the only thing that effected the home button is when you change the home button to a non genuine one,

Either that or a genuine home button assembly from another iPhone.

The Touch ID/Apple Pay problem after changing screens using an unauthorized repair facility only started being a problem about a year ago or so. In fact, Apple had to provide the “machine” that calibrates this to some third party repair services because it was affecting functioning after repairs by authorized retailers. Perhaps the repairs you previously performed were before this change occurred.
