WhatsApp hanging when I tried to update my number

I tried to update my WhatsApp with my new contact number, but it hung on me just now. Kept saying that it was "Connecting" when I waited for more than an hour but nothing happened. I have an iphone 4, running 5.0.1, jailbroken using the latest RedSn0w 10b4. Has anyone else had such a problem before? What could be the issue? I've already restored and re-jailbreak, but in case something like this happens again, is there an alternative solution?

I think that app was recently pulled from the app store. A friend was trying to get it yesterday and couldnt. I didn't see it in the store either. I used it in the past

Hmm, so it's got nothing to do with my phone being jailbroken? I did a bit of googling though, and read somewhere that it shouldn't affect the normal operation of WhatsApp for those who already have it installed on their phone..
