Isn't it odd, parents entrust their children to teachers for educating them because most are both passionate and brilliant, yet these same parents think (wrongly) they are so much smarter than those teachers.

Agreed. And I think some of them are not aware that their untruthfulness doesn’t help improving the relationship between me and their children, it’s quite the reverse.
