Waterdamage iPhone 5C

Hi everyone,

I'm clearly a tit and water damaged my phone for the second time, I used Revive a Phone on it again as this helped restore it back to normal last time with no issues.

I let it dry out for two days and plugged it in last night. Apple logo appeared for about 5 seconds and then went off, this happened twice more and now nothing.

Before it was damaged the battery had started to play up anyway. For example, the phone would power down whilst still over 20% and show the 'needs charging' display. I would plug it in and after switching back on it would jump straight back to the original battery percentage.

Is it safe to assume the battery is just fried or can I be expecting much worse, such as damage to the motherboard?

The problem with water damage is that it can get worse over time as internal parts corrode. Replacing the battery could just be delaying the inevitable. Is there a repair shop nearby that could do a diagnostic to see exactly what's wrong?
