From what I have read Black seems to be the best colour as the others soon show the dirt.

Has anyone found this to be the case?

When I used the dark blue case I noticed that it absorbed skin oils and darkened in the areas most handled. Darkening would have no visible effect on the black case.
 
I have the Apple Black Leather Case with no signs of wear after approx one month of everyday use. I'm seriously considering getting the Apple RED Leather Case as well. I really like the feel and style of the Apple Leather Cases. I can't believe I haven't purchased another case yet, nor am I really interested in anything other than the Apple Leather. I actually like the look of "old weathered" leather.
 
For anyone who doesn't like the old look I think you can get a protective spray for leather which might stop the transference of oils on the leather.
