New videos claim to show iPhone 8 production line.JPG

9to5 Mac reports on a couple of videos that have leaked that are claimed to have been shot behind the scenes at Foxconn’s iPhone 8 production line. 9to5 Mac is sceptical about whether or not the videos are genuine, and there certainly do seem to be several things wrong with them, aside from the fact that they would represent a very serious security breach for Apple if they were genuine.

The first video, from TechTastic, is 10 seconds long, and appears to show assembled iPhones being hand-polished. As 9to5 Mac says, the polishing doesn’t look to be up to what you'd expect to be Apple levels of professionalism.

The second video is just 8 seconds long and shows iPhones hanging on some sort of storage display. Once again, the footage is not particularly convincing, and as 9to5 Mac’s Ben Lovejoy points out, the videos are much more likely to show dummy units being produced rather than actual genuine iPhones.
