If you upgrade to a 4S or a 5 however, don't make it a habit to just check for the SIM tray because the 5 and the 4S are GSM+CDMA supported

I will ask in this Thread about baseband if nobodies gonna worry about it.
How to put bak your original baseband version ? Let it be, from ipad baseband to original. Is it possible? Never heared / readd about it..

It is tricky to unflash the iPad baseband because it's considered a downgrade and baseband downgrades are only applicable with hardware mods, which is not supported by iPhoneForums. There is a chance to brick your 3GS by doing so. But, there are ways to basically overpass the problems on the iPad baseband through Cydia tweaks
