I have got an iPhone 4 on loan from my daughter to try out before deciding on the phone I want when my upgrade is due. I wanted to check out iCloud while I have it but get a message that the maximum free accounts allowable on the phone have been created. Is there anyway around this or am I stuck without being able to have iCloud while I have this phone. Cheers.

I've never heard of that problem before. Try registering on the site itself and not through iCloud or the phone directly. After registering for an ID, when you either sign in on your phone or on iTunes, it will prompt for a payment method, in which case you can select None. The official AppleID is here

I've got an Apple iD ok but can't see anywhere that I can actually sign up for iCloud on the site. It says to do so on my phone and as soon as I enter my Apple iD it goes off to verify then that's when I get the message that the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iphone.
