Autonomous cars seem like they will be making their way onto the streets in the not so distant future. Google and Tesla have been testing self-driving cars for quite some time, and Apple is rumored to be doing the same.

Ride-sharing giant Uber announced this week that it has begun field-testing its self-driving car. The autonomous vehicle comes in the form of a Ford Fusion hybrid, currently being tested on the streets of Pittsburgh. The Fusion comes equipped with high resolution cameras, radar, laser scanners, and quite a badass look.

For now, the car contains a trained driver to make sure everything is working correctly, while the car collects mapping data and tests its abilities. It will be unfortunate how many potential jobs might lost because of autonomous vehicles, but with over 1.3 million car-related deaths every year, the roads might become a safer place.

So we are all going to accept that post yes. Crap.
All you need is 3 or 4 of these cars to go wrong taking people home from the cinema or whatever or some drunk bloke to crash into one of them it swerves then what.
Near future, this company must be on drugs or something.
Just my opinion, l have no idea how they plan to make money out of this, but they must take the HUMAN element into consideration, it's unknown.
