Uber Adds Family Tracking in New Update

Ride-sharing giant Uber issued a new update to its mobile application introducing a helpful feature for families. Trip Tracker is a feature available today, which allows folks riding under a Family Profile to be tracked by other members of the family

The tracking feature can be used by setting up a Family Profile on the app. Whenever a member of the family takes a ride with Uber, the app track that person, send notifications with trip details, and send both members a copy of the receipt.

“Trip Tracker uses sophisticated technology to bring you peace of mind while your nearest and dearest ride on Uber,” Uber said. “So, the next time one of your family members is headed out–you’ll know when they are on their way, which route they are taking and when they’ve arrived.”

Uber and the new update can now be found in the iTunes App Store for free.
