2015 is going to quite a crazy year with the Apple Watch release coming up next month. I say this because the device gives developers a whole new world to play around in. Folks still questioning the purchase of an Apple Watch might have a change of heart once developers show off its potential, like they did with the iPhone.

The New York Times newspaper announced its own Apple Watch app on Tuesday. The app extension will display one-sentence stories on the wrists of subscribers. The stories will include a short title and a sentence afterwards, making it easier to "catch up [on news] is seconds".

Handoff will play a big roll in the Times' Watch app. Users can Handoff a story to an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and read the entire thing on the larger screen. Phew! Thought we were going to have to squint our eyes and read on the Watch.
Get the news you need in a moment. Swipe through breaking news and short stories crafted specially for Apple Watch. Use Handoff to read more on your iPhone or iPad, or tap “Save for Later” to build a personal reading list.

The New York Times promises to have the update for its app out in to for the Apple Watch release on April 24.
