Apparently I underestimated the Black Friday sale. I just returned from Best Buy where there was a line outside and around the building. I was going to go drool over the Apple devices but gave up. I had no idea this was such a big event.

Are they planning to wait all night for the sale to start? People do the same thing with Boxing Day sales. Waiting in line is more important than Christmas dinner with the family. That's a choice each of us has to make for ourselves.

It looked like most of them were camping out. Tents, sleeping bags, etc.

And some of them will come away with nothing, because all the good stuff will go to those nearest the front of the line.
If you think waiting in line overnight is crazy how about the people who waited in line for weeks or months for the latest Star Wars movie?

I must be old fashioned, I wouldn't wait in line more than a few hours for anything unless it were a matter of life or death. Any company that makes a product that sells out in a day or two is likely to make more of that product.. so it will be available next month anyway. Nothing is worth sleeping on the ground in rainy forty-degree weather.

Well, even though I wouldn't do it myself, I'm thankful for the "campers" because they help keep good products alive and popular.
