Texting App Where You Can Use Your Current Phone Number?

I have an ipod, and a cell phone, but I do not have unlimited texting. Alot of texting apps give you a number, But I don't want to have two different numbers to text people with. Is there any texting app where it can show up as my cell phone number? Because I don't want to pay for unlimited texting. (It's not an iphone just a cheap cell phone)

Try: Text Plus

My cousin used it for quite sometime before upgrading his plan. It's free and it assigns you a number that is used for texts only. But it only works over wifi.

OP said he wanted the text to have his phones real number on it. Google Voice uses wifi or data and will accomplish what the OP is looking for. Does your suggested text capable of displaying a different number?

Woops, miss read that. No Text Plus does not give you the option to use your own number.

Hook, doesn't Google Voice also replace your standard Vmail system and transfer your phone number to Google?
