Text message virus?

My husband has an I phone 4, and this
Morning he checked his
Text messages and a blank text appeared at 5.13Am. He went out of texts and be back in at 5.16am where that same blank text had updated to the current time, so very time he goes out and back in that text updates to the current time! Since been deleted!! What to do please..

click on the message, then contact up in the right corner. Then click the "i" with the circle...then scroll all the way down and click to block it.
