Spotify To Introduce Video Content Later This Week

On Monday, The Wall Street Journal reports that Spotify is ready to launch its video content service at the end of the week. For a few months now, Spotify has been testing to provide video content to its subscribers from networks like ESPN, Comedy Central, the BBC, Vice Media and more.

The content coming from these networks is said to be "short clips" for Spotify subscribers. The content will supposedly work like Spotify's in-house curated playlists, offering collections like "Laughs at Lunch" and "News of the Week".

Spotify's video content will begin rolling out to Android users at the end of this week, while iOS users can expect an update some time next week.
