SMS short code naming?

For text messages some numbers are just 5 digits. Is there a way to name this code? So when the text comes in it shows the name not just the 5 digit number.

Try adding the number in your phone contacts

In most cases no, because the trailing several characters are usually different based on the original sender or other discussion format. Example would be Facebook, which is 32665, but depending on whether or not it's a Facebook Message, Facebook Notification, friend request, tag, etc, the it can be something like 32665-026, 32665-028, etc, and it may or may not be the same each time.

I clicked on my text message and edited the contact. It worked perfectly.
