Following on from the various recent rumours about production delays for the forthcoming iPhone 8 and iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, Economic Daily News (EDN) now says that production is in fact on track for all new iPhone models, ready for an announcement in September and October release date.

EDN says that one of the big causes of the previous delay was manufacturing issues with the new circuit boards that will be included in all three of the new iPhone models. EDN’s sources say that these issues have now been resolved satisfactorily.

However, despite EDN referring to production as being “on schedule,” it has to be said that an October release date for all three phones would be a little later than the usual release schedule for new iPhones, which usually go on sale in September, just after they are announced by Apple.

Mass production of iPhone components is due to start in June, with TSMC set to begin production of the wafer starts required to manufacture A11 processes on June 10, with the chips due to be delivered in volumes in the second half of July.
